WANT TO VOLUNTEER?!
Volunteer Applications are NOW OPEN!
Email Karly at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information about what's happening on the Waterloo campus. Also, feel free to stop by our office at 165 Albert St., Waterloo (third floor) to chat, use our library and research computers or for a safer space to study or relax. The office is open 10am - 4pm Monday-Thursday during the school year and hold drop in hours on Thursdays from 2 to 4pm during the summer. If the door is ever locked, ring the third floor doorbell and we'll come let you in! We acknowledge and apologize for the fact that our office is not physically accessible. The office is situated on the third floor and requires visitors to ascend three flights of stairs. In spite of this, we at LSPIRG are committed to the accessibility of our resources and services. Please notify us of your accessibility needs so that we may accommodate you accordingly.
Email Jay at email@example.com for more information about what's happening on the Brantford campus. You can also visit us in the office at 95 Darling St., Brantford (top). We are located within a hub of other offices (the Centre for Student Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, the Womens' Center and the Sexual Assault Center of Brant). Feel free to come by to chat, explore the space, or hang out. We are open from 10am - 4pm Monday-Thursday throughout the school year and hold drop-in hours Mondays from 2 to 4pm in the summer term.
This space is fully accessible!
You can also email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions or concerns!
Volunteer with LSPIRG!
LSPIRG believes building a strong community is the only way we can collectively advocate for social and environmental change. We have TONS of ways you can get involved! Whether you want to join one of our Research and Action Groups, start your own, or be part of our programming, events, campaigns or workshops, we know you will enjoy being part of the LSPIRG community.
We encourage you to follow us on social media and sign up for our newsletter to learn more about what we do, click here to become a volunteer board member, and fill out the application below if you would like to be a general volunteer or be part of some Research and Action Group(s). There is no deadline to apply.
If you are currently an Undergraduate or Graduate Student at Wilfrid Laurier University (who didn’t opt-out) you are already a member of LSPIRG! Congrats!
If you do not fall within that category, you can still be involved in LSPIRG as a Community Member. Community Members are an important component of LSPIRG - do not let the "LS" part of our name fool you! LSPIRG is dedicated to being a community-focused organization that wants to bridge connections between campus and Waterloo/Brantford Regions.
Why become a community member of LSPIRG?
Being a member provides you with opportunities such as:
- Access our rad library!
- Access to LSPIRG resources (such as space booking and tech equipment)
- The ability to join or create a Research & Action Group
- Starting a research project
- Applying for funding
- Vote at our Annual General Meetings
- Run for the Board of Directors
